Description

In this peaceful wetland, we witness a rare spectacle: a group of storks strides serenely through the water, while several frogs hop up their long legs, seemingly fearlessly. Normally, we would expect the storks to shove their delicacies straight into their beaks. Here, however, the encounters unfold in a completely carefree manner, rarely seen in the annals of nature observation.

Viewed up close, a frog is seen fearlessly inspecting a stork's beak, while two fellow frogs are curiously perched on its back. The natural warning signal between predator and prey seems to be completely exposed here. A vibrant frog choir concert under mahogany wing fans, almost like an accidental peace summit in the middle of the river landscape.

As an observant naturalist, I can hardly tear my eyes away from this scene: Nowhere do I detect any signs of attack or flight. Instead, both sides seem to be enjoying themselves in their own way – the frogs with daring leaps, the storks with fascinated serenity. In a world where survival requires highly inventive strategies, such a peaceful coexistence between potentially hunting and hunted species is always a stunning miracle.
